Does the tag in front of an item at Wal-Mart mean they have to sell for that price?

I know if there is something with a big price sign over it and its wrong they still have to sell it for that price until they change it but does the same apply to the little tag on the shelf in front of the item?|||

After you check %26quot;the little tag on the shelf in front of the item%26quot;, also check the %26quot;sku number%26quot; on the item to make sure that is the item that belongs there. People carry around an item, decide not to buy it (or find a different style,etc.) and plunk down the one they were carrying around.

No, a store does not have to give you the little tag price because an item has been %26#039;orphaned%26#039; .

I only argue with a manager when many of the same items are in back of the little tag or the sku matches, but not the price I%26#039;m charged. Then I am going to get it for the tag price.

|||sure why not

|||If the self tag has the wrong price they may honor it as a courtesy but they certainly dont %26quot;have to%26quot;. |||maybe|||They have to sell it for the price that is displayed next to the item. However, I have seen cashiers refuse to ring up sale prices because it ended, even though the sign was still up. In that case, you need to go to the manager.|||Yeah, if it%26#039;s the right tag for the right product. If they don%26#039;t, it%26#039;s considered false advertisement, which is a big deal.|||yes. provided sale inventory numbers match.|||yes they should sell it..... i work at home depot and if we placed it in the wrong spot and it looks like thats were it suppose to go.... then we give it to you for that price...... thats the same way walmart works.... but if a customer placed one there and its out of place and not alot of them there then yeah you prolly will not get it at that price.....|||No everything is done electronically. Now days it%26#039;s the product SKU that has the final word. You can ask to see the store manager and protest it. They hate to see unhappy customers and probably give you a discount.|||It just means it%26#039;s what you should have paid for it before you stuffed it in your woman%26#039;s purse or down your pants.|||I think so|||They are legally bound to put the price into effect, yes.

Follow this rule:

IF IT WAS WRITTEN PUBLICLY OR IN ADVERTISING BY AN AUTHORIZED SOURCE, IT IS TRUE. (The reverse applies)

As far as something like a WalMart price tag is concerned, yeah, you can haggle. But a sense of judgement is needed here, what%26#039;s the point of haggling for two bucks? That%26#039;s your ethics. But as far as the price tag is concerned, they can be held responsible, yes.

Also, some employees sometime try to take the easy and quick way. If it means to walk all the way to the stall and look, they might haggle you too!

Best:
