Do the Brits really shop at Abercrombie & Fitch?

I visited the massive London store last month (I'm American) and I could not believe the prices at the store. I'm pretty sure they just change the dollar symbol to pounds on the tags, which would mean that everything at that store is at least 50% more expensive + higher taxes. I think most Americans are probably laughing at any British people desperate enough for that %26quot;cool%26quot; American preppy look to spend that much money on quality not worth half that price.
Do the Brits really shop at Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch?
but if people life something and are willing to pay whats the problem? yea so its more expensive than in America so?

It really isn't like they can get it somewhere else cheaper.... otherwise they would. Flying to america is hardly cost efficient just for some clothes. And importing doesn't always help avoid taxation.

And besides, the UK is expensive for a lot of things. Not just clothing.
Do the Brits really shop at Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch?
its not just abercrombie that is pricier in england....
Yes although i dont. Most things are cheaper in america than they are here.
no, we dont! Only rich people shop there, best places are Primark!! 拢1 for jewlery and 拢2 for tshirts! Belive me i live in England, All the big exspensive posh shops are in Londen because of Tourists, and no, we dont always drink tea and eat scones lol :) x
The store is on Saville Row so the Brits that shop there arnt really concerned with how much something is. The majority of brits shop at places like top man which sells the same **** way cheaper
1 U.S. dollar = 0.694107031 British pounds

eh .... as you americans would say,,you do the math..

Never try to outsmart the brits :)
No, English people just get ripped off anywhere, considering the exchange rates; things should be cheaper in Britain than in America, but tax and company greed prevents that from happening; also though, I know (from personal experience) that things are usually more expensive in London than in the rest of Britain (even if it's the same store); and that's why I tend to shop online (because it's cheaper than shopping in brick-and-mortar stores due to the fact that it doesn't have to pay as many wages). Although; to answer your question fully; amongst me and my friends; none of us shop at Abercrombie And Fitch.
Yeah I shop there, that's why when we go to America we buy everything we can from A%26amp;F and Hollister.

We're also far behind that the American's, my friend says that when she goes out to America she buys stuff from the outlet stores, comes home and a few months later they're fully priced in the England stores.

You do also have to remember though that many American's shop at topshop, to us topshop is average pricing. More expensive that H%26amp;M but cheaper than Urban Outfitters.

For you American's it's like a designer as so many celebs shop there, with topshop they double the price tag and change the 拢 to $ and yet you American's shop there because you want to be all %26quot;indie%26quot; and %26quot;English%26quot;.

Besides it's not even THAT expensive, the only store in the country is in London, one of the most expensive cities in the world. As much as it's more expensive our pay checks are higher on average than American's.
Yes, a lot of people do for some reason..
Some people own a few bits and bobs from Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch, but although the price is higher here, Brits probably earn more money in general, so it's all relevant. Also, what 'lol' said... a lot of us get our base clothes from Primark- cheap as chips! Probably cheaper actually. And then of course Topshop is somewhere where we shop a lot. Girls anyway.

You laugh at our prices.

We laugh at the way you spell everything wrong :)
Ok no, I'm pretty sure most brits do not buy their whole wardrobe from Abercrombie. It is way too over priced, i'd buy maybe like one shirt but not much else. I mean some may..but no
When I go down to London I will.

And when/if the store opens in Glasgow I will.

The only place I can find jeans of good quality that go down to a size 2, so I kind of need to shop there.
No. The clothes are overpriced and look gay
