What do you think about Lee Iacocca's new book?

Some quotes;

%26quot;Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening?%26quot; Iacocca writes. %26quot;Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, 'Stay the course.'鈥?quot;

%26quot;George Bush prides himself on never changing, even as the world around him is spinning out of control. God forbid someone should accuse him of flip-flopping,%26quot; Iacocca writes. %26quot;There's a disturbingly messianic fervor to his certainty.%26quot;

%26quot;Swagger isn't courage. Tough talk isn't courage. Courage in the twenty-first century doesn't mean posturing and bravado. Courage is a commitment to sit down at the negotiating table and talk.%26quot;

%26quot;Thanks to our first MBA President, we've got the largest deficit in history, Social Security is on life support, and we've run up a half-a-trillion-dollar price tag (so far) in Iraq. And that's just for starters.%26quot;

I liked his last one. The one where he got the boot from Ford and overturned Chrysler. Senile because he is old? The man's got heart and courage, and if you compare his senility with Bush's retardation....he still never ran a business into the ground and evidently can still relate to the average thinking people in America. He turned a personal tragedy and a failure into a triumph. I am glad to see he is not just sitting back on his laurels and wasting his days making horse head book ends in his garage or playing golf. Henry Ford inspired this country on a principle that treat the workers good and they will be more productive. A concept that when Iaccoca got canned from Ford was %26quot;old thinking%26quot; and the first new wave of %26quot;new blood Corporate Greed%26quot; reared it's head at Ford. Iaccoca took his values and principles to Chrysler and turned it around. However this new brand of thinking is what has landed us right in this mess we are in.

An old adage goes %26quot;those who are greedy get nothing.%26quot; And yes people still are writing books because evidentlty there are some of us left in the world who still read.

He's got another new book out too

there must be good money in this book writing business

every time I turn on CNN for the news

I see someone terying to sell me a book

Cokie Roberts was on there the other day selling her book

and I see Samantha Powers has a new book out too

she must have been writing in between her insults for Hillary
His book is FANTASTIC. He should be running for this Presidential election if you ask me.
Just another loudmouthed chickenhawk...only he truly benefitted from corporate welfare.
Senility will do that.
Another shmuck trying to make a buck with a book.
