Am I being cheated in buying this car?

This man says he will do all of the paper work for me. He says the price of the car includes registration, tags, title name change and everything. But is is fishy that he is going to do all of this? What should I do?

Uhh, we kinda need more information. Did you do a Carfax query on the vehicle? What is it's bluebook value? Did you have the car inspected by an impartial mechanic?

If you do a small amount of research, you can establish the car's true value and determine if the price is fair. The concern in this case would be that the seller is trying to misdirect your attention away from an inflated price by covering the closing costs. Find out what the car's true value is and then you'll know if you have a fair deal.

Go with him to the notary when the title is transferred. That way you KNOW the title is in your name. I mean depending what he is tacking on since he will do all this he is just trying to make some more money, not really any big deal that he would do it. He may also want to make SURE it is in your name if somethign happens to the car.
yes very fishy don't let him do it if ur not there n haven't read the contract or done any of that stuff don't let people do the paperwork 4 if u don't no them all sales people try to do is get as much money as possible do all the paperworks urself even if he was just tryin to be nice u can't always be sure about people u don't no hope i helped
possible if he signs your name to paper work

is this man a car dealer? maybe if its not wouldnt buy it
It sounds good to me. I wish more dealers would do this.

I'd get in writing the amounts for each item he is going to do.

eople will charge high rates to do this.

Call your state's DMV and find out the costs of each item.
In some states, like CA, the law requires the seller do a smog test.

Some older people will do this, because many of them are most honest and want a smooth transaction on both sides.

If you were buying the car in a used car lot,all this would be done. Its also a selling point. You could ask for a carfax if your uncomfortable.

and maybe just maybe he knows how to fake paperwork and the car is hot, I'd say carfax please
If he is a car dealer, he HAS to do the title %26amp; charge tax fo you in my state.

Usually, its the price of the car plus taxes %26amp; title.

Dealers have nothing to do with tags or registration however.

But, there are 49 other states.
i am selling this car for 450 pounds becuase iam buying a vauxhall zafira
