Criminally Switched tag Question.?

I was washing my car when i heard my neighbor saying he changed the price tag from a cheap bicycle to a expensive one at walmart he says the cashier did not noticed it and that he was kind a careful with the camera, i dont know if i should talk to his father or not, i also want to know if they can still get him in troubles.
Criminally Switched tag Question.?
My advice is to keep schtum.

Firstly, the guy may just have been boasting.

Secondly,you may have misheard.

Thirdly,he may relate the accusation to you,as you were in the area when he was talking.

Learn from it.Be wary of the guy.
Criminally Switched tag Question.?
Tell your neighbor he is a thief - And if you catch him/her doing that again, you will report it to the store manager if you see him/her -
What your friend did is theft, and if caught he could face criminal sanctions, however getting yourself involved could easily cause you as many problems with your neighbor as the person who switched the tag.~
I would just stay away from him. He may be making his own set of issues. One, he is a thief and can't be trusted.

It will catch up with him and he will get a record and then be unemployable. Another one bites the dust.
In most states, changing the price tag on merhandise in the store is a criminal offense, and may be charged in addition to theft.

Whether you bring it up with the father or not may depend on the relationship you (or your parents; I cannot discern your age from your post) have with the neighbors. Unless the parents are also inclined to criminal behavior, the probably wouldn't be pleased to know their child is a thief.

In any case, you should treat it with some discretion.

If you are concerned - as I would be - about allowing this behavior to go unpunished, and thus be reinforced, you can make a report (probably anonymously) to the police, who would probably follow-up with WalMart, and they could then ask for proof of purchase for the bike. You could probably make an anonymouse tip directly to WalMart, as well.

Even so, the kid might claim he didn't switch the tag, and that he didn't know he was taking advantage of a mistake, just getting a good deal. In either case, WalMart would probably check the security cameras to see if they caught him doing it on tape (if they can narrow down when it happened fairly well).

I believe that people taking %26quot;minding their own business%26quot; too far sometimes, and just reinforces people doing bad things, because they know nobody is going to go to the trouble to report them. When thieves steal, we all pay, because the cost of those losses are built into the prices merchants charge.
What he did was theft and careful as he %26quot;thinks%26quot; he might have been Walmart may still catch him
